Assistant Professor Victoria Marshall will be showcasing her work in Kolkata, India at Studio21 from Friday, November 14th, to Thursday, November 27th. Marshall has a strong connection with ICI. She recently completed her fellowship in 2012  and remains active by serving as a member of ICI’s Faculty Advisory Committee. Marshall has been instrumental in helping to achieve ICI’s goals especially in relation to urban and environmental issues.

Using satellite imagery from Google Earth, Marshall’s exhibition “Envisioning Asia’s Old Delta’s in the Age of Satellites” blends together various techniques of analysis and design in order to highlight development on river deltas or waterfronts. Each image on India is carefully paired with a comparative image from China.  The coupling of images tell a story of development in Asia through examples in both India and China. Marshall’s exhibition has also been covered by The Telegraph India in Kolkata.
